Oltá, the perfect mountain for hiking in Calpe and the picnic of a lifetime.

This beautiful mountain is just behind Calpe and rises 587 metres above sea level. Most of Oltá is covered with pine trees and other trees typically found in the region; walking along its footpaths leads you through natural surroundings and when you reach the top you get spectacular views of Calpe's Peñón de Ifach rock.

Oltá is a small mountain that’s part of the Sierra de Bérnia range and is very close to the town of Calpe. Over the years, Oltá has become a popular viewpoint in the area, and if you climb right up to the top you’ll get fantastic views of Calpe’s Peñón de Ifach rock, the Sierra de Bérnia and Serra Gelada mountain ranges, and even the Montgó overlooking Javea.

A well-marked circular route climbs up to the summit, passing spots like the well of Pou de la Mola and Ermita Vella de San Francesc (a chapel dedicated to St. Francis), where there’s an ideal rest and picnic area with tables, toilets, rubbish bins, plenty of shade and drinking water.

It's well worth taking a stroll in the countryside and admiring the impressive views from the top of Oltá.

More human, more thoughtful, more authentic. What started as a vision linked to vacation rentals has now become a brand deeply connected to the region, its villas, its owners, and the thousands of guests who have discovered this coast through it, in a much more personal way, almost by word of mouth.
